Founding Pastor
Bishop Nathaniel and Mary Wilson
Founding Pastor Nathaniel Wilson first met his wife, Mary, when he was 12 years old and Mary was 11 years old. Both started their ministries as teenagers and have wide experience in ministry. Pastor Wilson's experience includes the offices of pastor, evangelist, teacher, and church planter. Sis. Mary Wilson conducts weekly women's meetings and oversees the annual ladies' retreat for several hundred women.
Bishop Wilson (as he is now known) is also founder of Apostolic School of Theology, formerly College at The Rock, author of several books, and adjunct faculty member of Patten University (Oakland,CA). After resigning as speaker and director of Harvestime International Radio Ministry (1979-1981), he arrived in Sacramento to begin The Rock Church.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies (Christian Life College, Stockton, CA), a Master's degree in Religion (Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, CA), and a Doctorate in Education (Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL). They have two married daughters, Rebecca Salters and Sheila Young.

C. Myles and Sheila Young
Following in the footsteps of their grandparents and parents, Myles and Sheila Young entered the ministry at a young age. Pastor Young has established two churches, one in Oakland and one in San Diego. He is also a recording artist, songwriter, noted conference speaker, author, founder of Touch Ministries, and co-founder of "No Limits" The Conference.
Pastor Young is currently completing his Master's degree from the Assembly of God Theological Seminary. Sis. Sheila Young is a dynamic leader in ministry as well as Business Manager of The Rock Church. The Young's have two children, Boston and London.
Pastor-Counseling, Visitation, and Facilities
Harold and Judy Sargent
Having served in ministry in a variety of capacities, Pastor Sargent, accompanied in ministry by his wife, Judy, does much of the marital counseling as well as general counseling and visitation. He also oversees the maintenance of the extensive facilities of The Rock Church. Pastor Sargent is a graduate of Conquerors Bible College (Portland, OR).
Sis. Judy Sargent is the Financial Secretary of The Rock Church as well as a leader in women's ministries. The Sargents have three married children--Darin, Dalen, and Derek.

Bishop Curtis and JoAlice Young
Rev. Curtis Young began his ministry in 1958 in the state of Louisiana. Throughout the years, he has ministered in 38 states and 34 foreign countries. His service for the Kingdom includes the roles of pastor, evangelist, teacher, and church planter. He helped to create PenteCom, a network of Apostolic ministers, whose goal is to communicate the Gospel around the world, and serves as its chairman. Rev. Young is also president of The Rock Association and pastor of Oakland Tabernacle.
Sis. JoAlice Young has served as mother, pastor's wife, singer, musician, intercessory prayer warrior, and ladies' leader. Rev. and Sis. Young have three married children--Marlys Simoni, Myles, and Monte.
Youth Pastor
Johannes and Tawni Escudero
Johannes and Tawni Escudero have dedicated their lives to the ministry and vision of The Rock Church. They have invested the past twelve years in youth ministry, serving with Pastor Young in inner-city branch ministry at Oakland Tabernacle, and as Youth Pastor at The Rock Church in Sacramento. Johannes is a frequent consultant for youth ministries and guest speaker for youth events, services, and workshops.
Pastor Escudero is completing his Master’s degree in Church Leadership at Hope International University’s Apostolic School of Theology. He is also a certified counselor with Crown Financial Ministries. Tawni is also a leader and has served as Director of Church Ministries, College Registrar and Sunday School teacher for the 7th and 8th grade girls classes. The Escudero's have one daughter, Rori Lane.
Children's Ministry Pastor
Matt and Tishauna Jones
Matt Jones is the children's pastor at The Rock Church. He provides oversight, guidance, and input for all of the various children's ministry departments. Matt is also camp principal of "Freedom Week," an annual summer Jr. Camp for children ages, 7 to 12 years old. With many gifts and talents, Matt is also heavily involved in TRC's graphic arts department. He and his wife, Tishauna, are accomplished singers and musicians and are recording artists and songwriters. Pastor Jones holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Media from California State University, Sacramento, CA. Matt and Tishauna have four children--Statton, Winston, Garrison, and LaNae.
